Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1020341A1] The railway points positioning system has a securing device (8) and is for equipment closing a points tongue (20) with a stock rail. The securing device has a closure bearing connected to the points tongue by a screw (2). It can be pushed over the closure bearing and has an elastic central component (85) provided with an aperture (87) to receive the head of the connecting screw. On both sides the securing device is connected with vane components (81a), which have recesses partly accommodating the points tongue foot.
