Abstract (en)

A band of paper is coated on the front by liquid resin and fine abrasive, especially corundum, and is then hardened, all in accordance with known principles. In the new process a further coating of resin, free of particles, is applied to the front and hardened. An Independent claim is included for a plant carrying out the process. This includes the stations: impregnation, single-sided coating, drying (5), coating (6) and final drying (8). Preferred features: In the second coating, preferably 10-80 g/m<2> of resin is applied. The back is coated, preferably with the same weight of resin. During initial coating, the band has a residual moisture of 8-17%. Final drying reduces this to 4-9%. The plant also includes patterned rollers (21, 24) and a further coating section (7). A further variant of the plant, based on the foregoing principles, is described.

Abstract (de)

<IMAGE>
