A composite profile (1), comprising metal profiles (2, 3) separated by a fire and/or heat resistant insulation material (5) with recessed side surfaces (6, 7), is new. Preferred Features: The side recesses (10) are filled with a foaming building material which is coated with a protective layer.

Ein Verbundprofil für Rahmen von Wandelementen, Türen oder Fenstern besteht im wesentlichen aus zwei miteinander verbundenen und auf Abstand (a) zueinander gehaltenen Metallprofilen (2, 3). Zwischen den Metallprofilen (2, 3) wird ein Zwischenraum (4) gebildet, in welchem ein Isolationsmaterial (5) eingesetzt wird. Durch die nach innen versetzte Anordnung der Oberfläche (6, 7) des Isolationsmaterials (5) bezüglich der Oberflächen (8, 9) der Metallprofile (2, 3) wird eine Vertiefung (10) gebildet. Die Vertiefung (10) kann zur Aufnahme eines aufschäumenden Baustoffs (11) aber auch zur Montage von Schliesselementen wie einem Türschloss (13) vorteilhaft sein. <IMAGE>
