Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1020635A2] A diesel engine with exhaust gas recycling has the cast inlet manifold provided with connecting flanges to clamp onto corresponding flanges of the exhaust gas feed. The exhaust gas recycling valve is built into the return feed and the system has no opening for ingress of dirt etc. The recycling fitting and the inlet manifold are fastened to the cylinder head by the same fasteners.
