Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1022078A2] The molten stream (S) exiting vertically from the nozzle body (D) is bombarded by at least three subsequent gas streams (1, 2, 3) in different directions. Production of metal powder from a melt comprises distributing a melt stream exiting a nozzle body of a metallurgical body (G) into drops using gas streams and leaving to solidify into powdered bodies. The molten stream (S) exiting vertically from the nozzle body (D) is bombarded by at least three subsequent gas streams (1, 2, 3) in different directions. An Independent claim is also included for a device for producing a metal powder from a melt comprising a disintegration unit with gas nozzle bodies (A, B, C) whose gas streams are directed onto the melt stream.
