The method is carried out so that in an offset printing mechanism designed as a stamping press (2), the printing material (10) is passed through between the offset plate (4) and the rubber blanket (6). The printing material is impressed by means of projections and depressions (8) applied on the offset plate esp. engraving.

In einem Verfahren und einer Vorrichtung zum Erzeugen eines Prägedruckes wird ein Bedruckstoff (10) durch eine Offsetrotationsdruckmaschine (1) geführt. In einem als Prägewerk (2) ausgebildeten Offsetdruckwerk wird der Bedruckstoff (10) zwischen dem auf einem Gummizylinder (5) gehaltenen Gummituch (6) und einer auf einem Plattenzylinder (3) gehaltenen Offsetplatte (4) hindurchgeführt. Durch Kontakt mit dem Gummituch wird der Bedruckstoff (10) in Vertiefungen (8) auf der Offsetplatte (4) gedrückt. Dabei wird eine Prägung im Bedruckstoff (10) erzeugt. <IMAGE>
