Packaging particularly for a plate or package of plates (2), particularly made of fragile material, wherein the packaging has a bottom wall (3), a circumferential wall (4) and a top wall (5), wherein the plate is supported on the bottom wall and the bottom wall has been formed by a bottom panel (3) of cellulose material having a honeycomb-shaped structure having cells forming a core (8) and cover plates (6,7) adhered to the upper side and lower side thereof, wherein the lower cover plate (7) of the bottom panel forms the lower plane of the packaging and the bottom panel is calculated against bending as a result of the weight of the plate or plates.
