Abstract (en)
The cable twisting assembly (9), to form a twisted cable, winds strands (3,4) continuously in a spiral round the cable core (2). A heater (23,24) softens the thermoplastic shrouding round the core (2) before the strands (3,4) are wound round it. The heating system (23,24) has a continuous kiln (23) or a microwave heater. A second heating unit (24) is directly in front of the perforated twisting disk (15), in the direction (7) of core (2) movement, to apply a maximum temperature to the core shrouding. The second heater (24) is between the twister (9) and the twisting disk (15), and operates with hot air. A flow funnel (26) is coaxial round the cable core (2), with its end directly at the twisting disk (15) in the movement direction (7). At least the second heater (24) has a convection kiln with its focus on the core shrouding directly in front of the twisting disk (15). A compression station (10) presses home the twisted strands.

Bei dieser Anlage zur Verseilung einer Litzenlage auf einen Seilkern (2) mit Thermoplast-Ummantelung wird vor der Verseilung der Litzenlage die Ummantelung in plastifizierbaren Zustand versetzt. Der Seilkern (2) wird kontinuierlich durch eine Heizvorrichtung (8) gefördert, in der der thermoplastische Kunststoff der Seilkernummantelung erwärmt wird und nach einer bestimmten Verweilzeit am Ende der Heizvorrichtung (8) aufgeweicht ist, wenn die Litzenlage verseilt wird. Die Litzen (3,4) legen sich in die Ummantelung ein. Bei der plastischen Verformung wird überschüssiges Mantelmaterial in sämtliche Zwischenräume der Litzenlage verdrängt. Gemäss einer Ausführung ist eine zweitstufige Heizvorrichtung einem Durchlaufofen (23) und einer Heissluftheizeinrichtung (24) oder einem Konfektionsofen. Eine Verdichtungs-Einrichtung (10) unterstützt im Anschluss an die Verseilung die Komprimierung des Seilaufbaus auf den konstruktiv vorgesehenen Querschnitt. <IMAGE>
