The shutter housing has front and rear (16) walls located respectively on the outside and inside of the building, upper and lower (18) walls and two end walls, enclosing an inner volume (20). The housing incorporates a ventilation channel (22) designed to provide air circulation between the outside and inside of the building without subjecting the inner volume (20) of the housing to an air flow. On the outside of the building the end of the channel has an opening (23) on a level with the housing's lower wall, while on the inside its opening (24) is located at the top of the rear wall.

L'invention concerne un caisson (7) pour volet roulant (1) comportant des parois avant (15) et arrière (16) disposées, respectivement, coté externe et coté interne d'une habitation, ainsi qu'une paroi supérieure (17) et une sous-face (18), ledit caisson (7) étant refermé, à ses extrémités, par des parois latérales (19) qui, avec les parois avant (15), arrière (16), supérieure (17) et la sous-face (18) délimitent un volume interne (20). Ce caisson (7) est caractérisé par le fait qu'il est complété par une gaine d'aération (22) apte à créer une circulation d'air entre l'extérieur et l'intérieur de l'habitation sans soumettre le volume interne (20) dudit caisson (7) à un déplacement d'air, ladite gaine (22) débouchant, d'une part, coté externe, au travers d'au moins une première ouverture (23) ménagée au niveau de la sous-face (18) et/ou de la paroi avant (15) et, d'autre part, coté interne, au travers d'au moins une seconde ouverture (24) ménagée au niveau de la paroi arrière (16), de la paroi supérieure (17) et/ou de ladite sous-face (18). <IMAGE>
