Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1022445A1] The exhaust gas system has two gas lines (1, 2) fitted successively in the gas flow direction (3). The one closer to the engine has an end region which maintains a gap (4) between it and the larger-diameter end region of the second gas line where it projects into it. This acts as a diffuser diaphragm with flow cross section continuously increasing in the gas flow direction.
