[origin: EP1022700A2] A procedure for recognizing fires is based on the evaluation of scattered light signals that measures two angles of dispersion in a fire detector fitted with a scattered light system. A microprocessor in the fire detector gets an alarm value from scattered light signals through comparison with an alarm threshold.
