The system has a central station (1) in radio contact with at least one vehicle (3) travelling a defined route (R1), whereby the vehicle has an on-board computer or OBU (5) for specifying routes and for route-specific control of route actions, especially traffic light control, stop point signaling, announcements and displays in the vehicle. The central station is connected to a computer (2) that generates a route change, especially a diversion route, including the associated route actions, as at least one data block that is transmitted to the OBU by radio. There is an arrangement for selectively loading data blocks to modify the OBU's load state with the data block corresponding to the route change. Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verkehrsleitsystem mit einer Zentrale (1), die mit mindestens einem Fahrzeug (3), das eine bestimmte Route (R1) befährt, in Funkverbindung steht, wobei das Fahrzeug (3) einen Fahrzeugcomputer (OBU = On-Board-Unit) (5) zur Routenvorgabe und zur routenspezifischen Steuerung von Streckenaktionen, insbesondere Ampelansteuerung, Haltestellensignalisierung, Ansage und Anzeige im Fahrzeug (3), aufweist. Damit die Funktion des Fahrzeugcomputers (5) auch bei Routenänderungen aufrechterhalten werden kann, ist vorgesehen, daß die Zentrale (1) mit einem Rechner (2) verbunden ist, der die Routenänderung, insbesondere eine Umleitungsroute (R1'), inklusive der zugeordneten Streckenaktionen, als mindestens ein Datenblock generiert, welcher mittels Datenfunk (4) an den Fahrzeugcomputer (5) des Fahrzeugs (3) gesendet wird, wobei Mittel zum selektiven Laden von Datenblöcken derart vorgesehen sind, daß der der Routenänderung entsprechende Datenblock den Ladezustand des Fahrzeugcomputers (5) modifiziert. <IMAGE>
