[origin: EP1022706A2] The system has a central station (1) in radio contact with at least one vehicle (3) travelling a defined route (R1), whereby the vehicle has an on-board computer or OBU (5) for specifying routes and for route-specific control of route actions, especially traffic light control, stop point signaling, announcements and displays in the vehicle. The central station is connected to a computer (2) that generates a route change, especially a diversion route, including the associated route actions, as at least one data block that is transmitted to the OBU by radio. There is an arrangement for selectively loading data blocks to modify the OBU's load state with the data block corresponding to the route change. An Independent claim is also included for a download server and for a computer for the system
