[origin: FR2769469A1] Aqueous biocidal composition comprises at least one water-soluble or water-dispersible biocide and at least one water-soluble alkoxylated polyorganosilane of formula (I): R<1>R<2>R<3>SiO(R<4>R<5>SiO)p(R<6>QSiO)qSiR<3>R<2>R<1> (I) where R<1>, R<2>, R<4>, R<5> and R<6> = 1-6C alkyl or phenyl, preferably methyl; R<3> = 1-6C alkyl or phenyl, preferably methyl, or Q; Q = RO(R'O)nR"; R = 3-15C alkylene, preferably trimethylene or 2-methyltrimethylene; R' = ethylene or propylene, preferably ethylene; n = 5-50, preferably 5-20; R" = H or 1-6C alkyl, preferably methyl; p = 10-100, preferably 10-50; q = 10-100, preferably 10-50, or q can be zero when R<3> = Q. The biocide is a cationic, amphoteric, amine or phenolic biocide. The biocide is selected from: quaternary ammonium salts, e.g. alkyl benzyl dimethylammonium chlorides, dialkyl dimethyl ammonium chlorides and alkyl trimethylammonium bromides; quaternised heterocyclic amines, e.g. alkylpyridinium chlorides and alkyl benzyl imidazolium chlorides; alkyl triphenyl phosphonium salts; cationic polymers, e.g. reaction products of epichlorohydrin and di(m)ethylamine or imidazole, reaction products of 1,3-dichloro-2-propanol and dimethylamine or 1,3-bis(dimethylamino)-2-propanol, reaction products of ethylene dichloride and 1,3-bis(dimethylamino)-2-propanol, reaction products of bis(2-chloroethyl) ether and 1,3-bis(dimethylaminopropyl)-urea or -thiourea, and biguanidine polymer hydrochlorides; alkylaminopropyl- alkylaminoethylaminoethyl- and bis(alkylaminoethyl)-glycine derivatives; N-(3-aminopropyl)-N-dodecyl-1,3-propanediamine; p-chloro-m-xylenol, dichloro-m-xy lenol, phenol, cresols etc.
