[origin: FR2769501A1] A perfume composition comprising a perfume base and a lipophilic solubilising agent comprising an aryl polysiloxane of formula R<1>R<2>R<3>Si(OSiR<4>Z)nOSiR<5>R<6>R<7> (I) is new. In formula (I), R<1>, R<2>, R<3>, R<5>, R<6> and R<7> = 1-8C alkyl, especially methyl; R<4> = OSiR<1>R<2>R<3>; n = 1-5, pre 2-3; and Z = optionally substituted phenyl, preferably phenyl; provided that (I) has the following parameters in Hansen solubility space: a delta D for London interactions of 8-21 (J/cm<3>)<1/2>, a delta P for Keesom interactions of 0-25 (J/cm<3>)<1/2>, and a delta H for hydrogen bonding of 0-23 (J/cm<3>)<1/2>. Preferably (I) is phenyl trimethicone. The composition comprises 3-20 wt.% perfume base and 75-97 wt.% (I). The composition can contain at least one other solvent (II), preferably a solvent other than ethanol, especially hexamethyldisiloxane. The (I):(II) weight ratio is 5:95 to 95:5, preferably 10:90 to 90:10.
