Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0005795A1] The present invention relates to a control and signaling device which comprises a housing part and a head part, and which is intended for mounting in the mounting bore of a mounting plate, a mounting wall or the like. The mounting bore is smaller than the head part but larger than the housing part. The housing part includes an outer thread in the vicinity of the head part. The control and/or signaling device can be attached through a nut member and can be mounted in a traditional manner as well as in a relatively compact housing. To this end, a tubular spacer can be arranged between the head part (3) and the mounting plate (5). The housing part (2) comprises two notches (9) in the shape of slots in the vicinity of the supply terminals (16). In order to secure the control and/or signaling device (1), a clamp-like retaining member (6a, 6b, 6c) is provided with two side legs (7) and with a cross bar (8) for connecting the side legs (7). The side legs (7) are capable of engagement into the notches (9) so that the housing part (2) can be dragged in the same direction as the head part (3) as the latter is pushed towards the mounting plate (5).
