[origin: EP1023957A2] A pop rivet gun is driven by a reciprocating linear drive with hydraulic or pneumatic power. The pop rivets are supplied fastened to a magazine strip with the empty strip taken up by a reel (11) driven by a gearing (6) which meshes with the linear drive. The gearing includes a freewheel coupling which only moves the reel during the return stroke of the linear drive. The reel drive is blocked during the power stroke of the linear drive.
