[origin: EP1024233A1] A system for fitting roof panels has a two part frame with the bottom frame (3) supported on the roof mountings and with a separate top frame (1) which clips into the bottom frame and clamps onto the edges of adjoining panels. The panels are fitted by first having the frame sections in an initial position for a loose grip. This enables the operator to slide the panels into position. The two parts of the frame are pulled together by threaded fasteners tightened from the underside of the frames, ie. under the roof. The frames are fitted with profiled edge strips which provide a watertight seal onto the panels.
