Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verbundprofil, ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Verbundprofiles und die Verwendung eines Verbundprofiles. Um Verbundprofile mit einem geringen Wärmedurchgangskoeffizienten (k-Wert) herzustellen, wird im Rahmen der Erfindung vorgesehen, daß zwei Metallprofile (2,3), die durch mindestens ein schlecht wärmeleitendes Element (4,5) miteinander gekoppelt sind, mit Kunststoff (8) ummantelt sind. Hierdurch wird die Kältebrücke im Bereich der Metallprofile vermieden, wodurch der Wärmedurchgangskoeffizient deutlich verringert wird. <IMAGE>
