[origin: DE19747986A1] The invention relates to a closure cap for a tank, more particularly for a fuel tank of a motor vehicle or the like, wherein the tank has a tube (2) that can be closed with a closure cap. The closure cap has a locking device for closing and opening and is also articulated by a hinge (9) or the like so that it can be displaced into the tank tube (2). According to the invention, the closure cap (5; 31) comprises a locking device (20) that is located fully underneath said closure cap (5; 31) by means of which the closure cap can be locked and unlocked, thus preventing access to the closure cap (5; 31) from the outside so that it may not be damaged or actuated by unauthorized persons. The tank tube can also be sealed gastight by means of the closure cap (5) or a closing valve (31) arranged in said tank tube.
