[origin: WO9921744A1] The invention relates to a device for controlling an automotive braking system, comprising a brake pedal (5), a brake pedal sensor device (3,4) to detect actuation of said brake pedal (5) and emission of a brake pedal signal (S1,S2), in addition to at least one wheel braking device (7) which is actuated according to the brake pedal signal (S1,S2). The device is characterised in that it includes a device for generating and adding a time reference to the brake pedal signal. This means that the brake pedal signal can be monitored at any moment with regard to current status and problems can be compensated by delayed data transmission.
