[origin: WO9922141A2] There is described pumping apparatus which consists of a Moineau pump coupled to a fluid pump and a primemover for providing rotational motion over the rotor of the Moineau pump. The inner rotor of the Moineau pump is preferably mounted on a support shaft which may be hollow, solid or cantilever mounted. A mud motor using the design principals of the pump is also described.
