[origin: DE19747959A1] The invention relates to a connector (1), especially for fluid conduits, comprising a connecting part (2) to be plugged in and a receiving connecting part (3) between which a seal (10) can be mounted and which can be interconnected in a releasable locking position by means of elastic locking elements (7, 18). According to the invention, the seal (10) is mounted between the front section (4) of the connecting part (2) which is to be plugged in and a springer (11) located in the receiving connecting part (3). The distance between the locking elements (7) of the connecting part (2) to be plugged in and the front segment (4) is such that the locking position is achieved by slightly pressing the elastic seal (10) axially and optionally radially.
