Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1026348A1] The lock for a motor vehicle door has a handle lever (16) pivoted on a mounting (14) inside the bodywork. The lock includes a sensor for the proximity of the users hand using an electromagnetic signal. The sensors (38,40,44) are positioned in a casing (42) which is elastically retained on the exterior of the handle mounting, so that a window (47) in the casing is opposed to a window (46) in the mounting.
