Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1026392A1] The pump has an electric motor (2) driving one of two shafts (10) carrying equal-sized meshing pinions (8,9). The fluid discharged at high pressure by the gear pump passes into a chamber (21,41) which extends upwards and allows separation of air bubbles. A de-aeration tube (48) extends down from near the top of the chamber and there is a high-pressure fluid outlet.
