Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1026710A2] The switch has a contact blade (1), a fixed contact and an arc-quenching device. The contact blade has a contact surface (8) is formed by a contact head (10) which is considerably thicker than a shaft (7). The contact head includes a tip (11) made of a material that is resistant to high temperatures as it is subjected to heat due to arcing when switching.
