[origin: FR2770215A1] Benzo(a)quinolizidine derivatives (I) which are 2-substituted by N-substituted aminomethyl are new. Aminomethyl benzo(a)quinolizidine derivatives of formula (I) are new. R1 = H, halo OH or 1-4C alkyl or 1-4C alkoxy (both optionally cyclized); R2 = H or 1-6C alkyl; R3 = H, alkyl sulfonyl or arylsulfonyl (both optionally substituted) or it forms (C=X)-NR4R5or (C=X)-R6; X = O or S; R4, R5 = H, 1-8C alkyl (optionally cyclized) or aryl, aralkyl, aroyl (all aryl groups optionally substituted) or R4 and R5 may be linked by a carbon chain, optionally containing a heteroatom; or R4 = aralkyl or aryloxyalkyl (the aryl part being optionally substituted and the alkyl part being optionally cyclized); R6 = H, 1-10C alkyl (optionally cyclized, optionally containing a heteroatom, optionally incorporating a double bond that may be conjugated with the C=X carbonyl), 1-8C alkoxy (optionally cyclized), optionally substituted aralkoxy or an aromatic or heteroaromatic group optionally substituted by 1-6C alkyl, 1-6C alkoxy, OH, halogens, nitro, CF3, CN, COCH3, thiophene, furan, pyrrole, pyridine and their benzo-fused derivatives, R6 may further contain aromatic cyclic systems such as 2-indanyl, fluorenyl, coumarinyl or benzopyranyl. aryl = phenyl or naphthyl; heteroaryl = 5- or 6-membered ring containing one or more N, O or S, as well as their benzofused derivatives forming pyridine, furan, thiophene, benzoxazine, quinoxaline, quinazoline, benzimidazole or benzopyrazole.
