[origin: WO9920755A2] A novel polypeptide that is believed to be a novel type 1 cytokine receptor has been identified in both mice and in humans and the corresponding cDNA sequences have been obtained. There is a high degree of conservation of amino acid between the human and murine polypeptides, indicating that this receptor is functionally important. Polypeptides within the scope of the present invention may be useful in treating cancer, obesity and immune or developmental disorders. They may also be useful in screening.
