[origin: WO9923286A1] The invention relates to a method and an operating system for filament bobbins (11) or doffs (12) in a spinning mill, comprising a manufacturing area (2), a conveyor device (13) and a storage area (8). The filament bobbins (11) are individually separated in a separation device before being sent to the storage area (4) and distributed on movable individual monotrays. The bobbins are then carried on the monotrays to a presorting device (7) in which the filament bobbins (11) are sorted by type or following other criteria and eventually stored temporarily. The storage area (4) is charged with identical filament bobbins (11) from the presorting device (7), whereby the filament bobbins (11) have been previously distributed from the monotrays (17) to larger supports (23) and especially transferred onto multitrays.
