[origin: WO9923339A1] The invention relates to a plug connector (1) for hollow profile sections (2, 3) of interspaced retaining frames for insulating glass panes. The plug connector (1) has at least one one-sided open trough shape which is adapted to the profile cross-section. Said trough shape is constructed by a middle connecting element (13) which points toward the exterior side (6) of the frame when installed and by lateral connecting elements (14, 15). The lateral elements (14, 15) have at least one foot surface (18), said surface being widened according to the area, situated on the connecting element edges (16) which point toward the inner side (5) of the frame. This serves to seal the system on the bottom (8) of the profile section. The middle connecting element (13) can have a depression (20), said depression being aligned diagonally in relation to the longitudinal axis of the connector, in the area of the connecting location (4) of the hollow profile sections (2, 3). The depression extends up to the bottom (8) of the profile section and, together with the other foot surfaces (18), constructs an essentially even sealing surface (21).
