[origin: WO9924904A1] An apparatus for logging data relating to a call from a program to a function library includes a mechanism for intercepting the call from the program, and a mechanism for storing the data relating to the intercepted call in a log file. The apparatus also includes a mechanism for transmitting the intercepted call to the function library. The program may be an application program and the library may be a dynamic link library. The data in the log file may include the name of the function and input parameters to the function. A text program may be executed to display the stored data on a display device.
