[origin: EP1028219A2] The assembly to seal off an opening (202) against the entry of liquids, and especially a door, has a monitor to register the water level (29). A seal seals the opening (202) at least partially, irrespective of the water level (29). An impermeable surface (82) is within a guide, with sealed edges. A box under the opening holds the impermeable surface (82) which can be pulled up from below over the opening (202). The seal is a grease. The impermeable surface (82) is a film which is impermeable to water, drawn out as a roller blind upwards over the window or door opening.
