The ladder is formed by hollow profiles for the sides (1) and the rungs (2), both fitted with openings (5,6). A plug (12) is inserted through the opening (6) in the outer wall (4) of the ladder side profile (1) into the rung. The plug (12) has at least one ratchet projection (10) to lock into a recess (9) at the rung, to key the rung to the side profile of the ladder. The plug has a beating head (13) at the outside, to force the plug home and lock the rung and side profile together. The ladder sections (1,2) are of a plastics material reinforced with glass fibers. The plug (12) is an injection molded thermoplastic component.

Bei einer Leiter mit aus mit aus Hohlprofilen bestehenden Holmen (1) und Sprossen (2), wobei die Holme (1) mit den Sprossen (2) zugeordneten Ausnehmungen (5,6) versehen sind und wobei die Verbindung der Sprossen (2) mit den Holmen (1) durch Rastung erfolgt, werden dadurch eine hohe Sicherheit und Zuverlässigkeit erreicht, dass in jedes an der Innenseite der Außenwand (5) jeweils eines Holms (1) anstehende Ende der Sprossen (2) ein von außen über eine zugeordnete Ausnehmung (6) der Außenwand (4) des zugeordneten Holms (1) einführbarer Stecker (12) eingreift, der mit wenigstens einem in eine zugeordnete Rastausnehmungen (9) der Sprosse (2) einrastbaren Rastvorsprung (10) versehen ist und einen rückwärtigen, an der Außenseite der Außenwand (4) des jeweils zugeordneten Holms (1) zur Anlage bringbaren Anschlagkopf (13) aufweist. <IMAGE>
