Abstract (en)

The spark plug includes an insulator foot (20) mounted at a casing (60), and a central electrode (10) led through the insulator foot, which is exposed at the insulator foot tip. An intermediate electrode (30) is separated through a first spark path (F1) from the central electrode. A ground electrode (50) is mounted at the casing. A solid insulator arrangement (40) is provided between the intermediate electrode and the ground electrode, forming a second, sliding spark path (F2) proceeding above the solid insulator arrangement.

Es wird eine Zündkerze vorgeschlagen mit einem Gehäuse (60, 160, 260, 360, 460); einem am Gehäuse (60, 160, 260, 360, 460) angebrachten Isolatorfuß (20, 120, 220, 320, 420); einer durch den Isolatorfuß (20, 120, 220, 320, 420) geführten Mittelelektrode (10, 110, 210, 310, 410), welche an der Isolatorfußspitze übersteht; einer Zwischenelektrode (30, 130, 230, 330, 430), welche durch eine erste Funkenstrecke (F1, F11, F31a, F41a, F51a) zur Mittelelektrode (10, 110, 210, 310, 410) beabstandet ist; einer am Gehäuse (60, 160, 260, 360, 460) angebrachten Masseelektrode (50, 150, 250, 350, 450). Zwischen der Zwischenelektrode (30, 130, 230, 330, 430) und der Masseelektrode (50, 150, 250, 350, 450) ist eine Festkörper-Isolatoreinrichtung (40, 140, 240, 340, 440) vorgesehen, welche eine zweite Funkenstrecke (F2, F12, F22, F32, F42) in Form einer über der Festkörper-Isolatoreinrichtung (40, 140, 240, 340, 440) verlaufenden Gleitfunkenstrecke bildet.
