Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19748796A1] The invention relates to a method for producing liposomes or dispersions of liposomes in an aqueous phase. The invention is characterized in that (I) (a) one lipid or one lipid mixture, (b) one optional oil phase, (c) one aqueous phase, (d) and one or more optional tensides are mixed together and homogenized at a temperature which is above the melting temperature of a lipid or lipid mixture and of the oil phase (in the case that one such oil phase is used). (II) The entirety of the homogenized components (a), (b), (c) and (d) forms a lamellar phase in a temperature interval [ theta ]. (III) The temperature of the homogenized mixture comprised of (a), (b), (c) and (d) is brought to a value within the temperature interval [ theta ] (production temperature theta 1) or to a value above the temperature interval [ theta ] (production temperature theta 2). (IV) Water is added to the homogenized mixture comprised of (a), (b), (c) and (d) and the formed liposomes or the formed liposome dispersion is brought to a temperature theta 3 which is below the temperature interval [ theta ].
