Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9922807A1] The invention relates to a device for simply and reliably extracting an article having an oblong inner lumen, for example a pacemaker electrode with an electrode cable having a spiral coil, by means of an actuating device (20) and an anchoring part (4). A tensile force is exerted on a wire puller (8) by twisting an actuating sleeve (22) of the actuating device (20). The wire puller (8) is guided in a tube (11) in a longitudinal displaced manner. A tiltable anchoring part (4, 5) having a parallelogram-shaped cross-section is located on the distal end of the wire puller (8). When the stopping face (12) configured on the distal end of the tube (11) comes into contact with the leading face (7) of the anchoring part (4), said leading face being slanted in relation to said stopping face (12), a tilting moment can be exerted on the anchoring part (4) by additional pulling on the wire puller (8) such that the wire puller (8) bends, and the anchoring part (4) jack-knifes in the inner lumen of the spiral coil of an electrode cable thus coming into contact with said spiral coil. In addition, an extraction force can be exerted on the spiral coil of the pacemaker electrode by pulling on the actuating device (20).
