[origin: WO9857872A1] A container (18) for disks has an improved latching mechanism (62). The container comprises a cassette (20) with sidewalls (34) with slots (32) for holding disks in an axial arrangement, two opposite endwalls (40) each has a U-shaped recess (36), a top cover (22) with a rectangular top portion (42) and two end portions (44) extend downwardly to cover the U-shaped recesses. The top cover latches to the cassette by way of a latching member (64) which includes a living hinge (65), an extension portion (70), and a hook portion (68) all on each end portion. The hook portion cooperates and engages with a cooperative catch member (66) on the cassette. The extension member is under tension to secure the top cover in place.
