[origin: WO9924706A1] The invention concerns a crankshaft housing (1) for an internal combustion engine with cylinders arranged in V-shape. Said crankshaft housing (1) is divided into two parts (2, 3) at a division plane (4) passing through the crankshaft axis (6). Said two parts (2, 3) are assembled with screws (9) extending perpendicularly to the division plane (4), and arranged on either side of the crankshaft bearing (7) and with cylindrical adapting parts (12) which are respectively inserted in an adapting hole (13) located between the housing two parts (2, 3). The adapting parts (12) parallel to the crankshaft axis (6) are located in the division plane (4) and are respectively traversed by a screw (9) so as to obtain advantageous design conditions.
