[origin: DE19842037A1] The invention relates to a valve, especially for use in a system provided for the explosive expansion of a solid/liquid mixture. The valve comprises a valve housing (1) with a valve channel (10) and a valve body (4). Said valve body closes the valve channel (10) when in a closed position in order to close the valve, and opens the valve channel (10) when in a retracted position in order to open the valve, whereby the valve body (4) executes a translatory motion. The valve also comprises an adjusting device which can be moved in a translatory manner by means of a fluid, especially compressed air, and is coupled to the valve body (4) in order to move the valve body (4) from the retracted position thereof into its closed position when subjected to the action of compressed air and/or in order to move the valve body (4) from the closed position thereof into its retracted position when subjected to the action of compressed air.
