[origin: DE19906661C1] The variable pitch propeller for motor boats, and sports boats, has adjustment rods with the propeller blades in the propeller hub. The free ends of the adjustment rods are mounted to a yoke (8), which is secured to an adjustment shaft (11) by a self-locking threading (9,10). At the other end of the shaft, the keyed piston rod (15) of the double-action stroke cylinder (18,19) acts on it through a threading (13,14) which is not self-locking. The adjustment shaft (11) slides axially within the hollow propeller shaft (5), and does not slide axially outside the propeller hub (6).

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Verstellpropeller, insbesondere für Motor- und Sport-boote, dessen Propellerflügel mit in der Propellernabe (6) geführten Verstellstangen verstellbar sind, deren freie Enden an einem Joch (8) befestigt sind, das an einen doppelt wirkenden Hubzylinder angeschlossen ist. Um eine unerwünschte Verstellung der Steigung der Propellerflügel auf einfache Weise zu vermeiden und außerdem die Steigung der Propellerflügel feinfühliger einstellen zu können, soll das Joch (8) über ein selbsthemmendes Gewinde mit einer Verstellwelle (11) verbunden sein, an deren anderen Ende die drehfest geführte Kolbenstange (15) des Hubzylinders über ein nicht-selbsthemmendes Getriebe (13) angreift. <IMAGE>
