Abstract (en)
The system has an exhaust gas feedback valve for feeding exhaust gas back to the air delivery system to the engine, whereby the exhaust gases pass through a cooler (10), a bypass line (17) round the cooler and a branching device (18) with its inlet connected to an exhaust gas return line and two passages, one connected to the cooler and one to the bypass line. The gases can be controllably passed through the cooler or bypass line. The branching device is arranged before the cooler and forms an integral component of the cooler.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Abgasrückführsystem, bei dem die Möglichkeit besteht, das rückgeführte Abgas durch Vorsehen einer den Kühler (10) umgehenden Bypass-Leitung (17) wahlweise gekühlt oder ungekühlt in das Luftzufuhrsystem (3) der Brennkraftmaschine (1) zu leiten, um gezielter das Abgas zur Verbesserung der Verbrennung bzw. der Emissionswerte bzw. des Kraftstoffverbrauchs zu nutzen. Die hierfür vorgesehene Weiche (18) ist integraler Bestandteil der Kühleinrichtung. <IMAGE>
