Abstract (en)
The igniter consists of a housing containing a heating resistance connected to an electronic board, and pyrotechnic priming and ignition compounds. The igniter has a transverse partition (8) dividing the interior of the housing into a forward chamber containing the heating resistance and the priming and ignition compounds, and an after chamber containing the electronic board, with electrical connectors in the form of metal pins (13, 14) passing through the partition to connect the board's conducting tracks to the heating element.

L'allumeur (1) électro-pyrotechnique comprend un corps divisé en une chambre aval et en une chambre amont par une pièce métallique discoïde (8), ladite chambre aval contenant un élément résistif chauffant (11), une composition pyrotechnique d'amorçage (12) et une composition pyrotechnique d'allumage (7), et ladite chambre amont contenant une carte électronique (17) rectangulaire prolongée par trois broches externes (29 à 31) métalliques et sur laquelle sont ménagées des pistes conductrices. Deux broches de connexion (13,14) métalliques traversent la pièce métallique discoïde (8) et relient lesdites pistes conductrices à l'élément résistif chauffant (11). Un moyen de dialogue et de déclenchement d'un train d'impulsions électriques spécifiques ainsi qu'un moyen de stockage d'énergie électrique sont connectés aux pistes conductrices. Cet allumeur est plus spécialement destiné à être utilisé en sécurité automobile, notamment pour constituer le dispositif d'allumage d'un générateur de gaz associé à un coussin de protection. <IMAGE>
