Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2783492A1] A cable (1) connects a constantly moving vessel and a vehicle on the seabed. The cable is wound on a winch. Between the winch and the vehicle is placed a device for slackening and taking up the length of cable required to move the vehicle. The device for slackening and taking up the cable is an assembly of pulleys (7,8) through which the cable passes, forming a pulley-block. The pulleys (8) can be moved towards or away from the pulleys (7) using a jack (2,3) fixed on the frame (6) of the block. The block frame is mounted on the vessel bridge.
