[origin: EP1032088A1] The printed circuit board edge connector has a connector plug (1) incorporating terminal elements for contacting the pin contacts of a complementary connector socket (2), at least one side of both the connector plug and the connector socket provided with a screening plate (7,8) electrically coupled to the printed circuit board conductor paths. The screening plates are coupled together via contact elements in the form of annular contact tongues (9,10) lying in the same plane as the screening plates and projecting from the front edges of the latter.
