[origin: DE19751561A1] The inventive nail clippers comprise a two-membered clipper body (2) with a metal fitting (8) placed inside. Said metal fitting has a U-shaped spring section (46) and at the end of each of its limbs, has bent segments (50) which form the cutting edges (10). The inventive clippers are characterised in that the two clipper body members (4, 6) have bent segments (64, 66) which encompass the limb ends of the spring section on the outside and which meet at the opposite end to the bent segments (50) which form the cutting edges (10) and engage with each other in such a way that they fit together. This is a simple means of ensuring that the cutting edges are accurately guided when they meet, even if the clipper body is made from plastic and cannot be too stiff.
