[origin: WO9925955A1] The invention relates to a method and a heat engine for converting heat energy (Qextern) into mechanical energy (Wextern). The heat engine has a first thermodynamic cycle (steam cycle) and a second thermodynamic cycle (gas cycle). The heat lost (QD) in the first cycle is fed to the second cycle and the heat lost (QG) in the second cycle is fed to the first cycle.
