[origin: EP1033083A1] The appliance for displacing bar-shaped articles (4,6) contained in trough-like containers (2) in a rotating conveyor in the form of a drum (1) in the direction of their lengthwise axes incorporates at least one rotating pressure ring (16,17) pressing against the end sides of the articles. At least parts of the pressure ring are made of silicone. At least one operating element (27,28) exerts sprung elastic pressure from the pressure ring onto the articles. The pressure ring is fixed in an inner end part (10,15) on the drum's hub (8,9).
