Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1033171A2] An electrostatic filter, comprising an inlet ionizer with flexible electrodes (7, 8) and an outlet collector (5) with an earthed filter mat (16), is new. An electrostatic filter has a filter cell with an inlet-side ionizer and an outlet-side collector, the ionizer being fitted in a frame and having electrodes extending across the flow cross-section. The electrodes (7, 8) are fixed at one end in the frame (6) and can flex at the other end and the collector (5) comprises an earthed filter mat (16) of wire wool or the like covering the flow cross-section.
