Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1033338A2] The machine has a threading strip transferrred between 2 successive stations within the machine using a suction head (51), which projects into the material web path and feeds it through a handling device with at least 2 function elements (5,7) between which the material web is fed. An expansion device (23) provides a relative movement between the function elements to give a gap between them sufficient for the passage of the suction head. An Independent claim for a transfer method for a threading strip within a material web manufacturing and/or processing machine is also included.
