[origin: WO9928158A1] A first transformer and a second electrical transformer are provided to transmit information and power between a component such as a steering column or a seat guide rail which are firmly arranged on the chassis and a moveable component such as a steering wheel or a seat. A frequency signal is transmitted by the transformer and fed to a signal generating circuit which is situated on the mobile component of the motor vehicle. Said signal acts as a carrier frequency signal or clock pulse. The moveable motor vehicle component can be fitted with an airbag ignition circuit which receives ignition signals from the transformer.
